This year marks the 17th Anniversary of the Arrow Air Disaster. A ceremony was held to honor those who died in the crash. Wreaths were laid at the Silent Witnesses Memorial by representatives of the Town of Gander, Royal Canadian Legion, 9 Wing/CFB Gander, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Gander Fire Rescue and the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, presenting on behalf of the families.

The Salvation Army Gander Citadel Band opens the service with O Canada.	Legion President Walter Crummell lays a wreath.
The RCMP wreath was presented by Cpl. Mike Hall and Cst. Paul Peddle.	Museum President Hon. Carl Clouter lays a wreath on behalf of the families.
Wreaths rest below the names of the passengers and crew of Arrow Air Flight 950.	A modest, now-weathered wooden cross has stood vigil over the crash site for nearly 17 years.
